Rougemont Carr is a wood by the river Wharfe near to David’s studio and is the sight of a medieval fortress built in 1122. With only earth works left as evidence it is easy to imagine life on this patch. These works are theatrical and fun in nature with figures inspired by medieval art work. At celebrations and festivals models of animal heads were worn. Other works include Blue Hare Paintings, Evening Moon Reflected in Pond and Cactus in Window.
